From A to U spots: the female erogenous zones you should know about

When it comes to erogenous zones and the female body, the one that nearly everyone has heard of is the G-spot, but did you know that there are more spots than that? In fact, there a lot more. Here is a brief guide to the different spots on a woman’s body that you may not have known about before, and how to use to get the most out of sex.

A-Spot

If you want to cause your partner to enjoy multiple orgasms, then the A-Spot is the one that you want to pay particular attention to. The A-Spot refers to the Anterior Fornix, which is found at the back end of the clitoris – just where the wall begins to curve upwards. As you’ve probably worked out from that description, the A-Spot is past the G-Spot. Interestingly, the A-Spot is the equivalent of the male prostate, so that should tell you why it’s such a good spot to hit.

Unfortunately, it’s a spot that can only be found during foreplay, anal or PIV penetration (Penis in Vagina). The great thing about the A-Spot is that length isn’t a huge issue when it comes to reaching it. There are a number of different positions that you can use to reach it. The other interesting thing about the A-Spot is that it isn’t touching the A-Spot that causes orgasm. Instead pressure and movement are the keys to its stimulation.

G-Spot

The G-Spot is something that has eluded many but it isn’t that difficult to find if you know what you are looking for. G-Spot is short for Gräfenberg Spot and it is about the size of a 5p coin. It’s found opposite the A-Spot and is just underneath the front vaginal wall. The tissue that makes up the G-Spot is extremely sensitive and when it is touched it swells up to the size of a 10p coin. Stimulation of the G-Spot is the key to orgasm for some women.
The G-Spot can be stimulated for self-pleasure with fingers, with toys or by PIV penetration. In terms of toys, there are several G-Spot dildos and vibrators that are specifically designed to stimulate this particular erogenous zone.

K-Spot

The K-Spot is one that may surprise you as an erogenous zone. It’s found in the small area just above the anus, below where the butt cheeks meet. With the K-Spot deep pressure massage is what is important to attain pleasure. The easiest way to do this is to pressure down on the area with your middle finger and slowly massage it.
As the spot is massaged and the euphoria builds, you can start to tickle and stroke to tease. The most important thing about the K-Spot though is its ability to create arousal. When you are stood behind your partner and start to rub against them with an erect penis, the area it tends to rub against is the K-Spot and starts to turn on your partner.

O-Spot

This spot is also known as the deep spot. The reason for this is that the O-Spot is found behind the cervix, further into the vagina than the A and G-Spot. There are two ways in which you can reach the O-Spot – the longest finger reaching into the vagina as deeply as it can and sexual positions that allow for the deepest penetration.

P-Spot

The P-Spot refers to the Posterior Fornix, which can be found near the cervix on the posterior wall. It’s actually directly opposite where the G-Spot is. In order to stimulate this particular spot there are two ways you can go about it.
The first is using a curved sex toy that you can use to alternately stimulate the G and P spots. This can lead to an awful lot of pleasure for the woman, and also a great part of foreplay.
The second is to have sex in positions that cause the penis to rub against the back lower wall of the vagina. Doggy-style is one position you might want to consider when attempting the P-Spot, though anal sex has many different positions that stimulate the P-Spot, making the experience far more pleasurable for her.

U-Spot

The U-Spot is what most people would few as the female prostate. It’s the area of sensitive tissue that is just above the urethra; in fact it’s between the urethra and the clitoris. This spot can be stimulated by either gently tapping or stroking it. It doesn’t require much pressure though and too much pressure can mean that it is painful rather than pleasurable.
The U-Spot is the perfect foreplay spot to stimulate especially as stimulating the U-Spot and the clitoris can result in orgasm.

When it comes to stimulating any of these spots, you don’t need to have a long penis. The average vagina is less than three inches in size, though as with penises, vaginas also vary in size, but it is positioned that matter more than length. There are lots of different positions that you can experiment with to get the most out of sex and stimulate these spots. Of course, the most important thing is that both you and your partner are enjoying the experience. If you’re finding that you’re not having the much success stimulating these spots without toys, then they can be a useful and fun sex aid.
